Geothermal HVAC Services in Tyler TX & Surrounding Areas
What Is Geothermal HVAC & How Does It Work?
Geothermal HVAC units heat and cool homes using energy from the earth’s surface. A ground loop is installed beneath the surface of the ground to leverage the earth’s temperature.
To cool your home, the heat pump sucks warm air from inside your home and transfers it to the loop system beneath the ground where it is cooled. Once the air is cool, your duct system circulates the air throughout your home. When cooling, the process works in reverse.
The Enhanced Geothermal System is more energy efficient than standard heating units and air conditioners because the temperature under the earth’s surface is consistent year round. So instead of your system working overtime during extreme weather conditions to keep your house cozy, it has a reliable source of air to pull from.
And yes, they work in any climate, including the breathtakingly hot East Texas summers. In fact, Texas ranks in the top-10 nationally for Geothermal heating and cooling system installations.
At Walker, our NATE-certified, highly-skilled geothermal technicians install, repair, and maintain these units across East Texas. And we’d love to serve you!
