Before You Call Try These Quick Fixes…
Check Your Thermostat
Make sure it’s set to HEAT.
And we know it seems so obvious, but (1) we’ve done it (yes, even us!) and (2) we’ve “fixed” lots of heating units simply by turning them on. 😉
It’s better to double-check than to pay us to do it for you!
Check Your Air Filter
The good news is that checking your air filter is quick and easy. Most heating units are located in a closet inside your home. You can access your filter via a knob or handle that you will likely find toward the bottom of the unit.
If your filter is a medium gray color, then it’s time to replace it. Because not all filters are the same size, you’ll want to check the size on the side of the filter before heading to Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Amazon.
FYI: If you frequently forget to change your filter, you can schedule automatic filter shipments from Amazon at an interval of your choosing (in most cases, every 2-3 months works great).
